Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Kelman has a broad range of experience in both QA and QC for various industries (Oil Industry, Rail Industry (GM/RT2450), Motor Manufacture (TS16949), Medical Devices (TS13485), and Aerospace (AS9000).
The Management System is currently accredited to BS EN ISO 9001-2008 and holds certificates from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for both the Turriff and Brechin sites.
Quality Assurance
Kelman HSEQ department can demonstrate the ability to apply various QA methodologies (where necessary) including
- Process FMEA
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Control Plans
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Data book compilation
Quality Control
Kelman Production management, inspection, and control techniques can be used to ensure first time pass rates are maintained. Techniques employed can include:
- First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
- Poka-Yoke (jigs and fixtures)
- Process mapping
- Kaizen
- DMAIC/8D corrective action process
By use of modern methods the Kelman QA/QC Department can offer you full support to achieve the best product possible.
Health and Safety
Although not formally accredited to BS OHSAS 18001 KEL has a Policy Statement with Manual and Procedures aligned to the standard.
This is fully supported by a formal reporting process with HAZID and HIRA’s conducted for all major projects. Preparation and presentation of full Health and Safety control plans can be undertaken to meet with specific customer requirements.
Environmental Management
Again although not formally accredited to ISO 14001 KEL has a Policy Statement with Manual and Procedures aligned to the standard.
This is supported with a full register of Environmental Aspects of work undertaken which is reviewed and updated as new work/projects are introduced by our cross functional GREEN TEAM.
